Sherry Lynn Edwards Land

LAND, Sherry Lynn age 62 of Miamisburg passed away Saturday July 23, 2016 at Kettering Medical Center following a brave battle against cancer. She was born June 2, 1954 in Dayton to the late Alfred and Marcella (McNees) Edwards. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Land; brother, Paul Edwards; step-daughter, Mary Katherine Land and brother-in-law Edward Fink III. Sherry is survived by her son, Paul Noble (Kayla Harton) Land of Miamisburg; siblings, Ricky (Linda) McNees of Kettering and Deborah Fink of Cincinnati; nieces and nephews, Heidi Fausz, Eddie Fink, Ricky McNees Jr., Jennifer McNees, Nick McNees, Jake McNees, Cindy Fry, Karin Land, Renee Booth, Robert Booth; step-son, David (Tracy) Land; boyfriend, Jeffrey Swank of Miamisburg; brother-in-law, Clinton Land; sister-in-law, Louetta Booth and her five little canine friends. Sherry was a 1972 graduate of Fairmont East High School and graduated from the Nursing Program at Sinclair Community College. As a nurse she was employed by several area businesses including St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Miamisburg Family Practice, Sycamore Hospital as well a Grace, Crossroads, Kindred Hospices. Sherry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Moose Lodge of Miamisburg. She enjoyed crafting in her spare time, rooting for the Bengals and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Family will receive friends and loved ones from Monday, August 1, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Paramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm also at the funeral home and officiated by Joel Getts. Centerville Cemetery will serve as Sherry’s funeral resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite hospice, animal rescue or children’s charity of the donor’s choice.
