Age 92 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 21, 2015. She was born on August 25, 1922 in Homer City, PA to the late, Michael and Nellie (Tyczka) Volk. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Irvin Sorrell; siblings, Mary Kinner, Bill Volk, Sophie Witwer, Kathryn Holland, Josephine Rebovich, Edward Volk, Frances Rhoades and Louis Volk. Rose is survived by niece and her husband, Shirley and Scott Cheatham; great niece, Kristy Cook; great nephew and his wife, Tyler and Emily Cheatham; great-great niece and Rose’s “little angel”, Addelynn Cheatham; “the little boy”, Cody; sister-in-law, Maggie Volk; several nieces and nephews; very special friend, Kathy Gunckle and special friends, Jim and Dorothy Gross. Rose worked at Sunshine Biscuit for many years. Friends and family may visit from 10am-11:30am on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 East Linden Ave., Miamisburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, 6 South Third St. Miamisburg, also on Wednesday, with Fr. Bertrand Buby of the University of Dayton celebrant. Rose will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
