Thompson, Ronnie Lee, age 71, of West Carrollton, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on February 3, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Ronnie was born on October 15, 1944 in Monterey, Tennessee. Ronnie joined the U.S. Army in 1963-1965 and was stationed in Berlin, Germany, in CO F 40th Armor Turner Tanks Division Patton’s Army. He retired from GM Truck and Bus. He was a member of the Miami Shores First Freedom Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Deane Thompson; a brother-in-law, Eugene Caupp; and by a nephew, Tony Corson Caupp. Ronnie is survived by his children, Tracy Salyers, Rusty Thompson, Joey (Nicole) Thompson, Jennifer Olazaran, and Missy (Mike) Patton; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; He is also survived by his sisters, JoAnn Caupp, Linda (Merlyn) Caupp, Patsy (Pat) Horst; special aunt, Molly (Dale) Myers; Uncle, Bobby (Sue) Randolph and a host of many more relatives and friends. Ronnie was a very humble and kind person and had a great wit about him. He will be missed by all. Visitation will be Friday (TODAY) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gebhart Schmidt Parramore Funeral Home in Miamisburg. There will be a second visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow immediately beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Henry Watts Jr. officiating. Ronnie’s final resting place will be Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to Dayton VA Medical Center Community Living Center.
