“Rick” age 50 of Whittier, NC passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 19, 1964 in Dayton, OH to the late Alfred and Carolyn (Heihle) Clark. Rick is survived by his wife of 11 years, Renee (Buckner) Clark; his children, Jason (Ronell Stephanics) Clark of Moraine, Joshua (Amanda ) Clark of Xenia, Jordan Clark of Middletown, Destiny (Gjin) Crowe and Dakota (Last Bear) Wilnoty both of Cherokee, NC; grandchildren, Jason, Haylee, Dustin, Bri, Kate, Trinity, Blade, Gwen, Storm, Dominic, Sophia, Neo, Danielle, Guya and Winter; siblings, Diane (Owen Parker) Pottinger of Dayton, Al (Donna) Clark of New Lebanon, Bill (Patty) Clark of Miamisburg and Mike (Angie) Clark of Kettering and his beloved pets, Chico, Rikki, Chewie, Binx, Lucky and Crazy Eyes. Rick attended Miamisburg High School and completed courses at Southwestern Community College for his work. Rick started his career in food service in the Dayton area working at TGI Friday’s for 10 years and Bob Evans for 18 years beginning as a chef and working up to assistant general manager. Most recently he had been employed as a table games dealer at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Resort in North Carolina. Rick enjoyed bowling and softball in his free time and followed a great deal of professional sports. He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon and the Cincinnati Reds. He’d often coach and crew chief from his couch. Rick also had begun attending Whittier Church of God, NC. Family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will begin 1:00 PM Friday, January 23, 2015 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Paws Animal Shelter at 57 Lemons Branch Road, Bryson City, NC 28713.
