Peggy LaRue

She was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA. She grew up in Morgantown, WV and attended WVU. Peggy was an accomplished pianist and choir director, and she worked as a bookkeeper for many different companies. She loved being with her grandchildren, playing cards, reading, and traveling with her family. She will always be the "Queen Bee".

Peggy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gerald LaRue; children, David LaRue (Heidi), Carol Quackenbush (Rob), Susan Chambers (Dave), and Brenda LaRue; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth LaRue; granddaughter, Sharon Quackenbush; parents, Charles and Catherine Skergan; and siblings, Sister Francina Skergan, Dick Skergan, Ed Skergan, and Pat Springer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 PM on Monday, April 11, 2022 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, Miamisburg with Father Jim Romanello Celebrant. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Good Hope Cemetery.
