She was born in Perrysburg, Ohio on April 2, 1937 to Glen and Elizabeth Woolley. On July 7, 1962, she married Rev. Frank D. Muller. Throughout her life, Pat was an active member of the Lutheran Church congregations for which her husband was a pastor. She found great joy in celebrating religious holidays decorating the churches and her home. At First Lutheran and the former St. John’s parish in Leipsic, Ohio, Pat was devoted to teaching children about the Lord by leading Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Christmas programs.
Pat earned a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from the University of Toledo. She touched countless lives as an educator in Putnam County schools, where she served as a special education and behavioral health teacher for many years. With her quick wit and warm hugs, she had a gift for making those around her smile. An artist at heart, Pat expressed her creativity through painting, gardening, and baking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and would bake special cakes and craft candy-filled piñatas to celebrate their birthdays. Pat was an animal lover that cared for all of God’s creatures, but she was especially fond of cats and dogs.
Above all, Pat cherished family and was a proud mom, grandma, and great grandma. She is survived by her children: Dorianne (Mark) Steingass of Miamisburg, Ohio; Tania (Ray) Patterson of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and David (Jodi) Muller of Livonia, Michigan. She also leaves behind 12 beloved grandchildren: Stephen (Heidi) Steingass, Elizabeth (Jason) Bruns, Jonathan (Sara) Steingass, Grace (Derek) Fugett, Kristina (Jesse) Kuthy, and Hannah Steingass; David, Emiley, Margaret and James Patterson; Samantha and Jessica Muller. Her gracious love carries through to her seven great-grandchildren: Toby, Natalie, and Jonah Steingass; Hazel and Wilbur Bruns; Paisley Fugett; and Orville Kuthy. Pat is also survived by her sister, Ada Nuhn.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Frank D. Muller; her parents; and her three brothers: Gene, John, and Larry Woolley.
A funeral service celebrating Pat’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Miamisburg, Ohio. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 3:00 PM followed by the service at 4:00 PM. A private committal service will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Miamisburg, Ohio.
