Nellie Jane Houston, age 81, of Miamisburg, Ohio and recently Bonanza, Oregon, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. She was born November 9, 1942 in Warren, Kentucky to the late David and Ruby (France) Woolum. When she wasn’t busy as a homemaker, Nellie was a bus driver for the Miamisburg City Schools for 9 years. She was a longtime member of the Miamisburg Full Gospel Tabernacle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Houston; son, Tony Houston; sister, Ellen Bundy; and brother, Eric Woolum.
Nellie is survived by her son, Brian Houston; siblings, David (Patricia) Woolum, Robert Woolum, Priscilla Saunders, Charles Woolum, James (Betty) Woolum, Keith (Dana) Woolum, Ronald (Mary) Woolum, Richard (Marie) Woolum and Joseph (Judy) Woolum; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loved ones.
A graveside service for Nellie will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Hillgrove Cemetery, 1012 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg, Ohio 45342.
