Mary Ellen Fink

FINK, Mary Ellen, age 97 of Centerville and formerly of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Bethany Village, Washington Township. Mary was born December 28, 1919 in Miamisburg to the late Joseph ad Iva (cook) Weidner. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ray H. Fink (1990); son Douglas Ray Fink (2009) and siblings, Frank Weidner and Evelyn Skinner. Mary is survived by her grandson, Jonathan Douglas Fink of Miamisburg; great grandson, Charles Douglas Fink; a special friend, Judy Binder of Beavercreek; nephews, Ron Skinner of Florida and Bill Long of Centerville and nieces, Dorothy Philbaum of Germantown and Donna Koontz of Pennsylvania. Mary was a graduate of Miamisburg High School and became a dental assistant for the local state of Ohio hospital until her retirement. Mary was a gentle, kind and joyful soul that shared an inseparable bond with her sister. She enjoyed many excursions with her shopping at the dollar store and lunch at Frisch’s. Mary loved television classics like Price is Right as well as browsing magazines and crocheting. She was dedicated homemaker and cherished her time and relationships with friends and family. A private memorial will be held following cremation and Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville will serve as her final resting place. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contribution be made in Mary’s memory to the American Cancer Society at 5555 Frantz Rd, Dublin, OH 43017.
