Rev. Joseph Madden, 91, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully in his residence on Sunday November 7, 2021. He was born December 22, 1929 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of William C. and Mattie Ethel (DeBoard) Madden.
Rev. Madden was a retired Pastor with the Church of the Nazarene. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired as a Captain from the Oakwood Public Safety Department and was a Deputy on the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph C. Madden, Scot W. (Michele) Madden, and Brian F. (Tammie) Madden; grandchildren, Shelly R. Russell, Sydney L. (Case) Horton, and Abbey E. Madden; many great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Erma of sixty-nine years and numerous brothers and sister.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
