Johnny E. Collins

COLLINS, Johnny Edmund, age 50 of Miamisburg, passed away unexpectedly at his residence Saturday, January 30, 2016. Johnny was born November 27, 1965 in Dayton, OH to Buster Collins and Susan J. (Rice) Oberer. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, step-father, James “Mike” Oberer; maternal grandfather, Robert Rice and paternal grandparents Grover and Lottie Collins. He is survived by his mother, Susan; children, Melinda Collins and Mason (Madison) Collins both of Georgia; grandson, Hunter, maternal grandmother, Harriett Bengel; siblings, Harriette (Greg) Brandenburg of Miami Township, Heather Moyer of Miamisburg and Hilary (Jimmy) Perkins of Miamisburg; nieces and nephews, Ciera, Cole, Jessica, Bailey, Aaron, Carlyn, Calob, Hannah and Elijah and a special family member, Alicia as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Johnny was a 1984 graduate and football player for Springboro High School. He held various jobs throughout his career including caring for his grandmother. Johnny was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Jimmy Perkins. Hillgrove cemetery will serve as Johnny’s final resting place.
