

QUILLEN, Douglas Lee, age 75 of Miamisburg, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Heartland of Centerville. Doug was born May 31, 1941 in Dayton to the late Eugene Russell Sr. and Mary Jane (Hanson) Quillen. His legacy includes his children, Douglas Quillen Jr. of Miamisburg, Rick Quillen of Dayton, Lori (Dean) Bush of Springboro, Mike (Sissy) Quillen of Florida, Holly (Chris) Moon of Maine, Kelly Pitts of Germantown, Jody (Greg Trent) Quillen of Germantown and Angie (Justin) Geer of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Heather, Shaina, Tawny, Jesse, Sarah, Amber, Ashley, Alicia, Brandon, Meghan, Joey, Michael, Amanda, Ella, Lilly, Miranda, Matthew and Jacob; many great and great great grandchildren and his siblings, Eugene (Karen) Quillen Jr. of Florida, Sandy (Terry) Dalton of Miamisburg and Debra Renfrow of Springboro as well as numerous other extended family and friends. Doug always worked for the automotive industry usually as a service writer for local dealerships. His employers included Stevie Ford, Bob Ross Buick and Bush Auto Place, Wilmington. Doug was a devoted family man, caring for and raising his eight wonderful children and spending time with his grandchildren whenever possible. He was a softball coach, hunter, fisherman and vegetable gardener. He enjoyed following and attending Reds, Bengals and NASCAR events. Doug was the neighborhood dad; distributing candy on Friday’s, hosting cookouts and sharing firework festivities on the Fourth. His kind heart, enthusiasm for life and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. A memorial service will begin 4:00PM Friday, March 3, 2017 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg.
