From a young age I admired my Aunt’s confidence. She always knew what she wanted ,when she wanted it, and would get it. I have so many memories of spending summers at her pool when she lived in Kentucky, getting ice cream at Baskin Robbin’s, and learning numerous card games.  I’m going to miss her contagious laugh and her ability to make you laugh and smile with her. She brought so much love and cheerfulness into my life. I will forever miss making more memories with her. Forever in my heart.

Once upon a time, on Shady Oak Street in Huber, a  beautiful friendship began…
I will forever be gratefully blessed for our friendship and the years of laughter, love, and joy “Aunt” Debbie, my Sister from another Mother, brought my family. 
We will speak of her often and honor those memories always.

God gave me the  best “big” sister. I have been truly blessed to have so many beautiful memories with you.   You were a funny, strong will, hard headed, compassionate, loving and giving person.  I am really going to miss you so much.  I love you!! ❤️ your little sister Diane.

It’s so hard to find the right words to say, so I will do my best to make some sense out of things.  

Aunt Debbie is a shining light, and a fantastic example of what it means to be a loyal friend and family member.  Her unwavering support of not only myself, but my entire family when my Mom was sick is something I will never forget.  I will cherish Aunt Debbie’s support and love we received forever.  She became a pillar of strength and support when we needed it, and always managed to turn dark days to light.  Aunt Debbie wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, and protected my mom’s memory with a fierceness that I will never forget. 

Some of my favorite memories are from when she would visit Aunt Kim and I in Huber, and drive us around so we could all go shopping, usually followed by some margaritas at El Toro!  I’ll always cherish the jingles that would accompany her everywhere (from her lovely jewelry), and how she would always look  put together and so fabulous.  

Her incredible thoughtfulness is something to be admired, she always had the most well thought out presents for people.  I will  forever cherish my graduation present she gave me, nobody else called me Little E like she did.  I will miss her dearly, she will never be forgotten.

I just keep asking myself, "how am I going to do this". Every time I start to type something, my thoughts and words fail me and what I say just doesnt do her justice.  So, I'm just going to talk to her... 

I feel like you would know what to say... It would start with something like "well... hunny, you just gotta" and then end with a "you know what I'm saying??".  Your beautiful and HUGE personality always filled every room you entered. You were never afraid to tell us  to cherish moments, and how much you did. I loved watching you light up when you would talk about Jameson (JJ), Justin (J), your neices and nephews, and your grand babies. You loved them so so much...  I loved listening to you and my mom telling stories, sharing memories, and laughing until you two were out of breath and crying.  I will always treasure your time here in Alaska! From the dinners, to the late night conversations around the fire and on the deck, to exploring all over in Alaska... we had such a fun time! One of my most favorite moments was driving through the mountains and finding a super fancy (rare in AK) lodge and stopping in to grab a snack because we were all SO hungry. When the waiter came over, you pulled your glasses down your nose about half way and looking over them you said " Do you happen to have any fried cheese? I don't see that on the menu".   He looked at us like we were crazy, and we all just laughed and laughed.  We are obviously from Ohio, we fry everything, you two cackled. 
Thank you for a beautiful lifetime of memories, and for being my and Daniel's "Aunt Debbie". Thank you for being my momma's best friend.  Thank you for loving my family and my girls so fiercely. I will miss the sound of your bangles jingling together, and your laugh. I will carry the lessons you shared with me, and I will pass them along to my girls. I have been avoiding posting this…just makes me so dang sad. I love you, Debbie…we go way back to the days of disco (more you than me😂), May Daze at Wright State, card games at my apartment, and yes, your infamous yellow bathrobe and panty hose for loungewear! You were hilarious and so much fun to be with! I am so thankful for our decades-long friendship, and hope you know I will forever feel grateful that you and Kim flew here to help me welcome my 60th year! And the t-shirts you had made for us! Also, Paul and I had such a fun time helping you and Justin celebrate Jameson’s high school graduation…
And I will always hold close to my heart our last day spent together at the end of January. What a joyous day that was, despite the reality that you were in the hospital. What a trooper you were that day!
I know you have had so many tough days recently and while I am so sad you are no longer here with us, I am thankful you are now experiencing God’s peace and are without pain. I  pray mostly for Justin and Jameson, and for Diane, and also for your forever bud, Kim; that they will experience God’s peace in all the love of family and friends that surround them in the tough days ahead. I love you, Deb❤️

I have so many memories of 
my aunt Debbie...but our camping trips at Patoka will forever be some of my favorite times with her, Uncle Justin and Jameson. Aunt Debbie was always up for a good time! She would worry for weeks before we left about having  enough food and drinks. She would bring enough stuff for 100 people and still worry  there wasn't enough.  That was  just one small way she showed us how big her heart was.  From sitting around the campfire arguing over the spelling of Uranus, to being out on the lake and her messing up Joe's boat  (lol) our summers will never be the same.  The laughs we had will forever echo in my mind. I am forever thankful for our camping trips and all the times at mom and Joe's.  I'm especially thankful God made you my aunt and for the effort you made to be a part of my life.  
I miss you Aunt Debbie and I love you more than I could ever describe. Thank you for loving me as your own.

Justin and Jameson, I will always have such great memories of Debbie during the times we spent together. We were together most weekends and would talk on Monday and plan the next weekend. Oh the laughs we had I will miss forever. She was more than a good friend,  always there for me when I needed her most. I have so many great pictures from our times together. I picked out a few of my favorites. Please know, Justin and Jameson that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm always a call away!

Even though Deb was not related to us by blood, she was always “Aunt Debbie” to me and my sister. She always treated us with extreme kindness and love, and never backed down from a good time. I’ll never forget when she and my mom came to visit in San Diego with Jameson. Here I’ve included a short video, pulled from a selfie photo at the San Diego zoo, where we can see the bright light that she shines, smiling and waving as we embark for a tour around the park. I don’t have many photos of the trip, but it was full of moments like this. The laughter, love, and good memories are something that we can hold onto forever. She will be missed, but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.

I always loved spending birthday celebrations and holidays with Aunt Debbie. Almost all of my fondest Thanksgiving memories involve going to her house for lunch to enjoy all the great food that her and Uncle Justin had prepared. I will miss her larger than life personality when it comes time to sit down and have a special celebration or meal with family.

To Justin and Jameson,
I am so sorry to hear of Deb's passing, much too soon.  We were friends for many years and shared lots of good times together, unfortunately we parted ways.  My heart goes out to both of you.  Know you are both in my thoughts and prayers.  Be strong Justin, Jameson needs you.

Some of my favorite memories of Aunt Debbie are when we would swim in her pool in Kentucky. I always enjoyed going there as a family. One specific memory I always remember from the Kentucky house is Aunt Debbie was playing cards and asked me if I knew how to play 52 card pick up, to which I said no and she proceeded to throw the entire deck of cards in the air and said “52 CARD PICK UP” and she told me to hurry and pick them all up. I will miss her sense of humor and the joy she brought to my life.

Deb and Justin were so welcoming when we moved to Miamisburg.  We became great friends, and Deb always went above and beyond, to do things for Jameson and all of his friends. We are forever thankful for her friendship.
