Age 69 of Homosassa, Florida went to be with the King of Kings May 21, 2014. He is now where he longed to be. Bill was born in Pennington Gap, VA on February 20, 1945 to Clarence and Georgia Shuler. He met his sweetheart and wife, Esther (Martin) Shuler in high school. Bill and Esther were married in 1963 and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past September. They both accepted Christ into their hearts and lives in 1968, and Bill soon felt God’s calling to enter the ministry. He went to God’s Bible School and Marion College (now IWU) where he earned his degree. In May of 1969 Bill became a full time minister, pastoring a little country church in the suburbs of Hamilton, Ohio until 1972 when he went to pastor in Union City, Ohio ministering there until 1976. Bill felt God’s call to go to Miamisburg, Ohio in 1976 where he pastored the Miamisburg Wesleyan Church for 27 years prior to retiring and moving to Florida in 2003. Bill is a member of the West Hernando Coin Club. He is survived by his loving wife Esther; three children, Mike (Sherry), Bob (Connee), Dan (Michelle); six wonderful grandchildren; Brittany, Michael Jr., Jake, Brook, Zach and Adam; sister, Fern (Russell) Guenther and brother, Randy, both residing in New Paris, Ohio as well as hundreds of dear friends. The visitation will be held at the Miamisburg Nazarene Church, 1216 Richard St. in Miamisburg on Monday, June 2nd from 6:00-9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held, also at the church, on Tuesday, June 3rd with a viewing scheduled between 10:00-11:00 and services following at 11:00 am with Rev. Glenn Black officiating. Burial services will be immediately following at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, in memory of Bill.
