Yeris Bode

Yeris Altagracia Perez Bode went to her heavenly home in the early hours of June 14th, 2022 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Yeris was born in Baitoa, Dominican Republic on November 17th, 1940. She migrated to the U.S. in the early 1960’s with her parents Juan Adriano Perez and Antonia Ramona Perez and ten siblings. She later met and married Jose’ Bode in 1964. They raised their children Jose’, Jacqueline, and Jeris in Corona, Queens. Yeris and Jose’ later retired in Miami. Yeris was a skilled seamstress, amazing cook, devout Catholic, and an exceptionally devoted wife and mother. She loved family celebrations and dancing merengue. She took enormous pride in her home and family. Yeris is survived by her loving husband Jose’ and their children Jose’, Jacqueline, and Jeris. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joseph, Sabrina, Michael, Jenna, Mia, Max, and Logan. She is predeceased by her beloved sisters Mercedes and Rita and survived by her siblings Juan, Sinencio, Raymond, Mireya, Iris, Gisela, Ramona, and Sonia. She will be greatly missed.
