Wayne Douglas Lippman
A Legend of a Man
On Sunday, March 12th, 2023, the Most loved, generous, charming Father, Grandfather, Partner, and Friend lost his hard-fought courageous battle with cancer.
Wayne was born in Buffalo, NY, in 1947, moved his family to Miami in 1977, and built a success beyond imagination. From roller skating centers to airplanes, he made his and others’ dreams come true. He came from humble beginnings and prided himself on becoming a self-made man. Among his most significant joys were spending time, caring for, and loving his family and friends. He relished sharing the finest things in life. It was his greatest joy. Wayne was a savvy poker player, avid boater, and passionate world traveler who loved a night on the town as much as having his dog Lilli resting on his leg at home.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Lippman) Loeb; his son, Adam Lippman; his son-in-law David Loeb; his grandchildren, Shelby, Laura, Alec, Micah, and Pacey. In 1970, he married Penny Lippman, who is the mother of his children. They were together for 40 years and, during that time, shared life and love. Wayne then met his loving partner of 12 years, Michelle Robinson, along with her daughters Gabbi (& Michael) Promoff and Nik Robinson, who he loved as his own, and Julia and Charlie Promoff, who he treated as grandchildren. Wayne’s death was preceded by his parents, Albert and Adele Lippman, and his brother, Marc Lippman.
His family will be forever grateful for the outpouring of love during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Wayne’s memory to Kristi House Children’s Advocacy Center.
Services will be held Tuesday 1:00 PM at Riverside Gordon Kendall Chapel at 5900 SW 77 Ave, Miami, FL 33143
May his memory be a blessing.
