After a short and merciful battle with cancer, Victoria Perez went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba on January 22, 1938 to Gabriela Maria Hernandez Perez and Amado Perez Hernandez. She passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at her home in Miami, Florida. She had only one marriage from which she bore three children: Enrique R. Reynaldos Perez (1959-1987), Noel Reynaldos Perez (1964-1983) and a surviving loving daughter Noris Victoria Reynaldos Perez and gracious sister, Nora S. Perez (Negrin).
Victoria was a strong woman who immigrated to the US accompanied with Noris in 1980 and started a new life in the America. She was proud of her U.S citizenship and loved her new country where she prospered. Victoria was a proud woman and left this life with great dignity.
Despite the difficulties she encountered in her journey on earth, God always provided her the necessary strength to emerge from life’s tragedies and travails with her beliefs and faith intact.
Victoria was an educated woman with a bachelor’s degree in Letras y Ciencias from Cuba and enjoyed a successful career in the US excelling in different jobs. Her last was a Respiratory Therapist working at different Miami hospitals. After retiring, she volunteered to support families during hurricane relief.
One of God’s blessings to Victoria was to be part of 5 generations of ladies, from a mother to a great granddaughter.
Victoria was a member of the Southern Baptist Congregation in Cuba and retained her Christian upbringing and faithfulness to our Lord Jesus Christ throughout her life.
Victoria had two granddaughters (Gabrielle and Llanette) of whom she was immensely proud. To Gabrielle’s children, she was a thoughtful, sweet great grandmother to Isabella Sophia Cuello and Daniel Alexander Cuello and for them Victoria was simply, “Bisi.”
Victoria leaves behind a legacy of strong Christian beliefs and her love for our Lord Jesus Christ that is sown in the hearts of the ones that she leaves behind. Her unique expression of love will be missed by all those closest to her. She was also very loved by her neighbor’s and friends.
