Our sweet Valerie only filled our office with positive energy and smiles. Im are so saddened by this news. I wish I knew so I could have said goodbye. Thank you for the energy, love and commitment you gave us always. Thank you for organizing and ordering yummy Nicaraguan food for the Saturday team at Keiser-Miami.  I remember you checking every single container that was delivered making sure everything was perfect for us before the delivery person was allowed to go. We had a good laugh about it after. LOL! We ate and thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared many, many good laughs. Thank you for that.
Rest well my friend.  You are very much missed.

As I now here of this... Valerie, was an amazing person she light up the room with her smile... she was full of life she was always smiling... my heart is lost of words.  I knew Valerie from Keiser where we worked together...  When I first met her instantly she made me feel comfortable and was genuine and she will truly be missed...
May the sweet light of change shine in the darkness,
May the first breath of each morning begin life again, 
May the memories unfold as prayers for life, May the love continue to fill the silence...

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Valerie. May she rest in peace and may god give her family strength. In the time we worked together at Keiser we had many great talks and laughs. The memory I will cherish of her the most is when we went on a mini getaway to Key Largo and the laughter she had and to see her happy and enjoying herself is what I will never forget. I will always have you in my memory and know that you were great at your job and you helped many students.

I am so sorry to learn of Valerie's passing. In the short time I knew her and interacted with her, Valerie touched my life in a positive and different way. I was her co-worker at Keiser.  She made a beautiful impression on everyone around her here at work.  She was a beautiful soul and had an infectious smile and a positive outlook on life.  She will be missed dearly.  I really enjoyed the one time we had a chance to share a Nicaraguan meal!  Rest in peace!

I would like to to send my heartfelt condolences to the Rios family.  Valerie had an amazing spirit, I worked with her at Florida International University.  I always enjoyed talking with her, she was very knowledgeable.   She will definitely be missed,  may her soul rest in eternal peace.
