Dear Teri,
  Will always remember you for a person who always “ told it like it is”, but always with a bit of humor. In the midst of madness I loved how you always made me laugh with your bits of truth, told in the way that only you could.

We’re very sorry for the loss of Ms Romero. She was such an amazing teacher and will remain in my heart. She was the reason i was able to pass my algebra 1 eoc and I will forever remember that

Terry was my first work partner in crime! We were both homeroom teachers for 8th grade! She taught me so much about being a great teacher and not letting things get to me. She had my back during the worst time in my career life and held me up when I felt I couldn’t keep going! I called her mom and felt that in my soul! She will always be in my heart! Love her tremendously!

Ms. Romero was my 6th grade math teacher in 2010. She never failed to make her students laugh. I’m saddened by her loss and will always remember her fondly. Sending prayers and love to her family!

I met Ms. Romero last year during open house and right away I knew she was a great human being. In that short time her caring nature came through. She was explaining which specific calculator to buy and why and how it was the same one her children used for testing. I knew she cared for her students and wanted what was best for them. I felt fortunate that my son had a great math teacher. He always talked about her and enjoyed her class. I was saddened to learn about her cancer and I am saddened to hear about her passing. She left her mark on this world and on her students. She will be greatly missed. Rest easy Ms. Romero, you are always in our hearts.

Heaven received a loving, outgoing, happy  soul when Terri passed over. I knew Terri as an engaged  teacher who was loved by her students. I remember how deeply she felt about everything, most especially her girls. If anyone was loved more than Samantha & Chrissy, I have yet to meet them. 
Hold on to those beautiful memories girls. Your mom gave you more in her short life than those who live to old age. You were blessed with her as a parent and  I am deeply sad that you lost hers so young! 
My prayers are with you … and always for your mom’s beautiful soul.

one of the best teachers i’ve ever had!

For Halloween, she would always go all out from Maleficent to Ursula. It was amazing. Her laugh was loud and hearty and could talk to you about anything. She used to call me hamster and honestly, I found it so endearing.

Ms. Romero was one of the best teacher PPMH has ever had. She was the reason why I enjoyed math and passed my algebra exam. The summer after I took my exam I had gotten a No Caller ID on a random tuesday. The caller was Ms. Romero congratulating me on passing my exam. No other teacher would go out of their way to call her students on congratulating them for passing their exams. I have had Ms. Romero for almost four years and after I didn’t have her class I still visit her almost everyday and give her a hug. Her hugs were truly special to everyone and especially to me because she was one of the teachers that never gave up on me. My condolences to Ms. Romeros family,  I am truly sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person to everyone and she will be missed. There are no words to express how heartbreaking it is to see her gone and how sorry I am. Ms. Romero will always have a special place in my thoughts and my heart. 🙏🏻🕊️🤍

Twelve years ago Terry was the teacher of my youngest daughter.  It was the beginning of the school year and my daughter was all exited about her cheerleading and basket ball practices.  Terry noticed that my daughter was pale and reached out concerned about her small bruises.  Terry was right, when we visited the doctor’s office I received the worse news that a mother can hear.  The journey of her sickness was long, painful and full of unknown.  At only 14 years old my daughter  spent most of her time in the hospital and when she was at home her friends can’t visited her as often as they wanted because her health was compromised.   Terry  took it upon her self and visited my daughter after work for an entire year.  She will bring weekly school assignments but more importantly Terry make it fun and keep her up today with every thing that was happening at school so she can have memories of her 8th grade and friends. 
As you all know when you go through difficult times your life and priorities change, you embark in a new journey where your circle of friends gets smaller because they are now your close family.  Terry and the girls are not only part of our family, Terry was the angel that make possible that my daughter somehow feel like a normal 14 year old girl.   
Terry will be deeply missed and will live on forever in our hearts.

Thankful for you.
After 6 years with you, I can't believe that your gone. You were my rock and one of the strongest women I know. I haven't been able to
comprehend that you're actually gone. You went through everything with me, from the lowest of lows to my highs. I knew that I could always count on you. You will be remembered by so many people because you helped and were there for everyone you could, especially me. You knew everything and anything about me. I will miss you so much. Every day when I go to class and I won't be able to stop and give you a hug in the hall way even if it made me late. Today is your first thanksgiving in heaven and I hope your happy. You reunited with some important people for you, and some of my most important people are with you now. Ihope you are all looking down at me and are proud because I will do everything to make you proud. You were going to be at my graduation, on that first row and on my wedding, but I know you'll be watching over me. I hope you're finally in peace but still cursing out whoever annoys you cause you wouldn't be you if your not telling someone you'll hit them with a bat and burry them with the shovel you had in your trunk hahahaha! You will be remembered for being a strong woman and the most amazing teacher. I love you with all my heart. Rest in peace my fighter. I love you with all my heart.

Ms.Romero was a beacon of knowledge and inspiration, dedicating her life to shaping young minds and nurturing a love for learning. Her passion for education was infectious, and she had a unique ability to make even the most complex subjects seem approachable and exciting. Many of us can trace our fond memories of middle school back to her kitchen table where we laughed,cried, and navigated through algebra. Those were some long days then but for me 2:30 couldn’t come fast enough she ALWAYS had the best snacks and always had a strong can of tough love ready if you weren’t applying yourself as she knew we all could! 

Beyond her exceptional teaching skills, Ms.Romero possessed a rare gift for connecting with her students on a personal level. She took the time to understand our individual strengths, weaknesses, and interests, tailoring her approach to ensure that each of us could thrive. She believed in us when we doubted ourselves and pushed us to reach our full potential.

But she was more than just a teacher, she was a mentor who cared deeply about our well-being. She was always there to lend a listening ear, offer guidance, and provide a comforting presence. Her space was a safe haven, a place where we felt valued, respected, and supported.

She was an exceptional mother of two beautiful and independent women. That are quick-witted and storm as a storm. Though no amount of words will make a difference of how they are currently feeling, I hope they find solace in knowing they never have to walk this life alone because they have each other and the knowledge their mother left them.

Thank you, Ms.Romero, for your unwavering dedication, your passion for teaching, and the profound impact you had on our lives. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all those you touched.

Miss Romero was one of the nicest people I ever met.
She would never be mean unless you did something mean to her, and even then it take a lot for her to get angry, she was one of the teachers that people can look back at and say they made a difference in my life .
She was so loved by so many people and it’s hard to get that many people money as she did to love you like that because if you do you just know that you’re an amazing person she had the school behind her she had her entire family behind her when she walked into that classroom you knew that she was going to make a difference when I found out about her passing it was from my father and I don’t think I stopped crying for a good hour and a half or two hours I just couldn’t believe it. I was so convinced that the universe wouldn’t take away , an amazing person made me a better person. She showed me that there’s some things that you just don’t do she taught me how to organize myself. She told me that it’s ok sometimes to mess up as long as you fix it.
Mrs. Romero was amazing. She still is amazing.

If you know Terri you would know that she was a second mom to most of us. Getting together for tutoring sessions around the dinner table always felt like family. The love she had for students was like no other. She was a blessing to me & my family in more ways than she imagined. Love you Terri🕊️

Ms. Romero for me was always like my second mother, we always went to visit her and give her a huge hug. I loved walking past her room and seeing her always outside the door with a huge smile. I still think about it and I can't believe that you are no longer with us. I will always remember the last time we see each other Ms as I always called her “Ms”, that day in the hospital when we talked for three hours and we brought you what you like most, some M&Ms and a very cold Coca-Cola. Such a wonderful, noble, beautiful person, and with her character that we always laughed. I'm going to miss her a lot, when they sent me the message that you were no longer going to be with us, I still didn't believe it, I thought it was a lie that you were no longer going to be with us. Going through that room and not seeing you outside the door makes me very sad. We feel a very big void in our hearts, a very big pain. One of my dreams that I always told my parents was that you could be at my graduation watching me graduate and this year I'm going to graduate something that makes me very sad that you couldn't be there and share with me but you won't be there physically but You're going to be seeing me from up there with God. We are going to miss you a lot. As i always said 🕊️

I remember Ms.Romero stopping me in the halls to tell me the daily drama, She pulled me in the class and then ranted to me about how Best Buy gave her a T.V that she had bought for her mom, for a higher price than listed online. She then continues to call Best Buy and just start yelling at them in the most Cuban accent I have ever heard. Me, Romero and my cousin started laughing until  tears rolled down our cheek. I will forever remember those memories with her and the laughs and talk me and her use to always have. May she rest in paradise flying high❤️🕊️

My dearest Teri.  I will never find the correct words to express my love for our friendship and the memories of you and our times together.  You impacted so many lives, especially students.  I was so amazed how you could connect with students and make them the best of themselves.  They loved and adored you.  You were tough but had the softest heart.  

I will miss our lunchtime talks, our hallway talks, and sitting next to you at every event at PPMH.  I remember when you picked me up at my old house to go to a PD and then we saw a baby pig run by.  We looked for it and found it's home.  I updated you on how big it got and then how it was longer around.  We figured it wasn't actually someone's pet.

I can still hear you say "no joda" after a venting session at work.  You always knew what to say.  Lol

May you rest in peace my friend.  You will always have a special place in my heart and memories.

all i have to say is that she was the best thing that school has ever given me. From the moment we met i knew we would have an amazing bond and that’s exactly what it was! she was my other mom and i made sure she always knew that she was very special to me. i love you momma and rest in peace❤️

Where do I even begin, she was my favorite teacher, my friend, and most of all like another mother to me. I can’t even begin to explain how much she impacted my life for the better. She was there for me through all of it, from the very first time I step into PPMH all the way through my senior year. She was the person I went to every time I cried, needed help, and advice; she was the type of person that showed all of her students her tough side but when you got to know her, you notice her caring and sweet side. I met her first in 6th grade but then she met my sister and they just clicked I don’t know how to explain it but I know they had that connection of motherly and daughter bond. From that day on, we would always be together; the very moment me and my sister entered school to the end. I remember seeing Ms. Romero getting out of the car with her hands full of things and me and my sister carrying her things and opening her classroom door. I remember her always getting out of her car with a Coca Cola slurpy at least once or twice a week from 7 eleven. I remember her talking about how much she wanted to built a house for her parents. I remember her treating me and my sister like her own daughters. I remember always going to her class and seeing a picture of her and my sister with her friends on her tablet. I remember a lot of things but it was the little things that stayed and will stay with me for the rest of my life. I know you are up there having a blast and in peace. I love you always.

Teri had the biggest heart a person could possibly have. Anyone close to her was lucky because she cared so deeply and fiercely for those around her. I will never forget the powerful impact she had on me and the love she gave so graciously and abundantly.  

I feel immensely blessed to have been able to share so many moments with her. I will always cherish all the laughs. 

I value all the things she taught me and will carry them with me forever.

Ms. Romeo was the sweetest and funniest teacher anyone could ever meet. I will never forget the way she would always make jokes in every class and light up the classroom with her presence. She was not only a math teacher but she was also someone we could talk to and ask for help and she would be the first person to be there for any of her students. I will never forget her and neither will any of us. She will always remain in our hearts and in our minds as the amazing person that she was. May she rest in peace.

Romero treated us like we were her own kids. She’d feed us, take us home, give us advice when we had stuff going on, and make sure we weren’t failing our classes. We spent every focus period in her classroom even though we all had different ones because we loved being around her and laughing with her. I remember she even had this picture as her iPad wallpaper for a while

Her favorite thing was Pepsi slushy’s so every now and then we’d surprise her with one. I can’t remember the inside joke but isarelys and I bought her that chicken and it made the most obnoxious noise—I remember how much she loved it though

My dear friend you were a true blessing in my life! How it started: I was assigned as your mentor at PPMH…. How it ended: You mentored me!!

Ms. Romero was more then a colleague she was part of my work family. We shared many after school conversations that helped me address my students and inspired me to do more in my school community. She was more than a mentor. When I mentioned to her that my son was experiencing anxiety about his Algebra EOC she insisted that he zoomed in for her afternoon test prep sessions. It didn't matter that he wasn't her student and she refused compensation. She simply wanted to address his anxiety and support his academic growth. That was her mission. To address kids complex needs and push their academic growth. She quietly lead and modeled how to be a community influencer. I am forever grateful to have known her.

I don’t have enough words to express my condolences to Mrs. Romero’s family. I had the privilege of knowing her for several years and both of my children had her as a teacher at St. Brendan. She was a very kind soul and an excellent teacher .

You also told us, how much you loved what you did, and how you had daughters whom you loved so much. I want to add a video message but my emotions are coming in waves of tears so it's best write.  Teri was a guiding light in so many ways.  I found it hard to make decisions without relying on her voice of reason.  She was the Warrior of justice.  Always making people face their demons whether they liked it or not.  We would lose contact throughout the years and then touch base as if we didn't miss a day from speaking to one another.   I'm sorry I missed some moments that you could've used my support.  Really shows us that you never know what someone you love could possibly be going through.  I will be more mindful of that and I'm excited to have an angel like you on my side!! You know I'm straight up VIP lol... But serioudly thank you for being a support and an Earth Angel to my life! May your light continue to shine on your girls and family!!

Despite our brief time together in Middle School at St. Brendan Elementary, Mrs. Romero left an enduring impact on my life. I fondly recall her love and passion for her students, treating us as if we were her own children, and her witty humor that brightened my days. I’ll always cherish the moments when Mrs. Romero sold white-chocolate-covered Oreos for a dollar. While I usually had a dollar ready, there were times I forgot it, yet Mrs. Romero would always generously “spot” me. Her playful remark, “Now you owe me,” accompanied by a wink, remains etched in my memory. To this day, she stands out as one of the most selfless, passionate, and kind teachers I’ve encountered. Her ability to connect with us on a personal level, beyond being just students, has left a lasting impression since my time at St. Brendan. As we remember Mrs. Romero, my deepest condolences go out to her family and loved ones during this challenging time.

Mrs. Romero was an amazing teacher with a beautiful soul. I had Mrs. Romero in 7th grade for intensive math. She taught me so much and was the kindest teacher ever. I remember the days in her class when she would tell us life stories or memories she had with her beautiful daughters. At the end of the year we all said good bye to her. The following year I would always stop by her class and say “hello” and give her a hug. Even the years I didn’t have her, I would go to her for help in math and she will always provide it for me.  I truly loved Mrs. Romero she was one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, Now she is in a better place. May she rest in peace.

To one of the greatest women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing:
Ms. Romero was a truly inspirational women that helped shape me into the person I am today. She was my teacher all throughout middle school and tutored me in high school. We always joked about how we were secretly related because of our names. She was the kindest, most well spoken tough ass lady and I genuinely believe having such a wonderful example at such a young age was a blessing I didn’t know I needed. She got me addicted to the twix bars and peanut m&ms she would sell and then made me give them up for lent - classic😂. In 8th grade, I had some medical issues and gained a lot of weight. One day, my skirt ripped and she took her entire lunch hour to sit with me and sew it shut so I wouldn’t be embarrassed. She took all 6 of my final exams for/with me when I broke my wrist and helped me get over my test anxiety. Teri, words can’t describe how grateful I am to have known you. To have spent time in your home with the 2 wonderful women you raised. To have been lucky enough to have you in my corner. I wish we would have kept in touch, that is something I will hold with me forever. You would’ve been so proud, Im really good at math now and even got a bachelor’s in stats. To the most fierce, badass woman I’ve ever met, may you rest in peace🤍
