Susi was born on July 2, 1926 in Vienna, Austria to Annie and Philipp Rezek. She died on March 11 after a brief illness. She and her family left Vienna's world of arts and privilege in 1938, moving to the then provincial, small town of Miami. Her father became Miami's first full time pathologist and her parents became active members and leaders in Miami's small cultural community.
Susi married Warren Lindau in 1950. She worked with and supported Warren in his practice of medicine. Our mother loved and followed music and theater, was an adventurous traveler, sailor, and renowned for her culinary skills. She led a rich and active life until the very end.
Susi is survived by her daughters, Karen and Margot Lindau, sons-in-law David Goldenberg and Jeffrey Cornblatt, grandsons Benjamin, Jeremy and Rafael and sister, Esther Bunzl.
Funeral Service at 11 am on Tuesday, March 15th at Temple Judea and burial to follow at Mount Nebo Miami Memorial Gardens. Shiva begins on Tuesday and continue Wednesday from 2pm to 5pm at the residence, 2645 S. Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL 33133.
