Dr. Stanley Edward Jacobs — a Miami-area dermatologist and devoted husband, father, and grandfather — died on June 28, 2021, at age 85. He is survived by his wife Judy of almost 51 years, his children Alan (Antje) and Amy (Steve), his adoring granddaughters Ruby, Sydney, and Abigail, and his sister Roberta Schwartz (Norman) and niece and nephew Beth (Jeff) and Fred.
Stanley was born in Brooklyn, NY, and spent his childhood in Brooklyn and Miami Beach. He graduated from Miami Beach High School in 1953, Tufts University 1957, and Tufts Medical School in 1961. Following his dermatology residency at Jackson Hospital in Miami, he served as the first U.S. Army dermatologist on the ground in Vietnam. Upon his return, Stanley opened a dermatological practice in the Kendall area, where he treated patients for over 40 years.
Stanley was a devotee of the performing and visual arts – especially musical theater, and loved to travel the world with Judy. He was deeply connected to his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo Kendall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to any of the Temple Judea Funds.
