Ronald Harold Pickett

Son of Shirley Marlene Pickett and the late Thomas Harry Pickett.

Ron joined the Marine Corp in 1980 while in college and then joined the Air Force in June 1983. Ron was an F-16 Fighter Pilot and was recognized with a Distinguished Flying Cross and retired as Lieutenant Colonel in 2004.Upon retiring from the Air Force, he moved to Florida and went to work as a civilian at the US Southern Command in Miami FL.

Ron lived the last 4 years with his beautiful Wife Niurka Pickett in Miami Fl, where they had a great life together and enjoyed every day they were together. He loved to travel, enjoyed good food, passed time with friends, and was a cycling and motorcycle enthusiast as a hobby.

His Son, A-1 Class Sean Thomas Pickett of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, brother Douglas Eugene Pickett, niece Samantha Jo Pickett and grandniece Alexia Williamson.

Ron left this world on January 20th in Miami FL.

His Funeral service will be on:

January 26 10 Am to 2PM

Interment will follow at the Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford, FL
