Roberto Perera of Miami, Florida passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on June 10th, 2019. He was born on August 15th, 1932 in Calimete, Cuba the youngest of nine brothers and sisters. His family moved to Havana, Cuba when he was 15 where he later co-owned a restaurant with his brother and father in old Havana. He married Caridad Carrera and they moved with their son to New York in 1962. In New York, he worked in a sewing factory before moving to Miami, Florida where he married Belkis Cole and owned an Italian Restaurant. He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Isabel and his nine siblings. He is survived by his wife Belkis, son Robert, step-children Hilda and Mary, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
