Patricia Mulloy Mahaffey

Born September 8, 1924 in Washington D.C. Patricia passed away on February 6, 2023. She was born to Robin and Clara Putnam-Mulloy who were pioneers of Miami. Patricia grew up in Spring Garden, Miami, FL.

Patricia graduated from Miami High where she was a tennis champion. She attended the University of Miami where she met her future husband Willard A. Mahaffey. They married and had 5 children. Barbara (Mahaffey) Derrer (deceased), Bruce M. Mahaffey and, Judy (Mahaffey) Arthur, Scott M. Mahaffey and Penny (Mahaffey) Hitchcock.

Patricia was a swim instructor, tennis instructor and teacher at Alexander Montessori School. She completed her Masters in Education at FIU.

She was a beloved grandmother of 13, Great-grandmother of 20.

We will forever miss her keen sense of humor, creativeness, a lover of plants and her sparkling blue eyes.

A family celebration of life will be held at Caballero Rivero Little Havana Funeral Home, 3344 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL. 33135, on Monday, February 13th, at 11:00 am.
