Born in Havana, Cuba, on July 11, 1929. Pablo B. Cano graduated from Havana University and received a degree in Agricultural Engineering. He was married to Margarita Fernandez on October 6, 1956. Pablo B. Cano had long career in the music industry. In Cuba, he was part of the very popular "Los Harmonicos" a musical quartet and in Miami, FL he was owner of the popular Cuban night club, Raul 21 and the first Latin-American recording studios in Miami, FL, Climax Recording Studios, that was located in the Wynwood area.
Pablo B. Cano collaborated with many popluar Latin performers including El Puma, Roberto Ledesma, Julio Iglesias, Jose Feliciano and many more. He was one of Cuba's best jazz guitar players and in Cuba,he accompanied many international stars as Liberace, Nat King Cole. Maurice Chevaliere and Roberta Flack. Pablo B. Cano was a composer, arranger, performer and teacher. He had a passon for music, life and his family whom he cherished above all else.
Pablo B. Cano is survived by his beloved wife Margarita Cano; his two children, Isabel C. Hernandez and Pablo D. Cano; his grandchildren Jorge A. Hernandez and Aileen I. Hernandez; and his great-grandchild, Jordan A. Hernandez. Of his five brothers and four sisters, he is survived by Carlos Cano, Luis Cano, Gloria Casas and Josefina Tarafa.
Mass services will be held at St. Michael's Archangel Church, 2987 West Flagler St., Miami, FL 33135, 305-649-1811 on October 11th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Following the Mass will be a celebration of his life at the family homestead. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the American Cancer Society to continue searching for a cure.
