Nino was a great friend in our youth in Lusaka Zambia.  We both worked there and he was so supportive during my pioneering  eye surgery  in 1971.   I am forever grateful to him.  I am so delighted he achieved his ambitions and success.   I wish to send my thoughts to his daughters  family and of course his loyal staff, friends and patrons who will obviously miss him greatly.   Thank you. 

I met Nino long ago … 30 years ago maybe 
He was a special person in many ways.  He never was able to call me monique ; he always said Monica :) that was funny in a way :) 
He always asked me 
“Y los niños come estan” ? 
He lived! He adored his girls  ! And again, he lived a full life 
My condolences to  the family. 
My daughter Venetia sends the girls a big hug 
I lost my nephew few days before Nino and I was in Washington DC for the burial ; I’m sorry I couldn’t attend Ninos celebrations but my prayers are with him. 
He will be never  forgotten

My friend of 40 years has gone home to heaven.

My heart is saddened and I pray for Nino, his lovely family and his thousands of friends that visited with him, Eduardo and the entire top notch team at the award winning Cafe Abracci.

May his lovely daughters Tatiana & Katerina  find peace in knowing what a special man Papa was while on earth. We will all reunite one day in Paradise. The food and humor will always be impeccable for sure

Please accept my deepest sympathies with the passing of your father. God in his mercy has ended his long suffering and called him home. 

May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this challenging time, your dad was a kind man and true gentleman. He was one of the nicest people I know and I know that he was a great dad too.  My thoughts and prayers are with you two.

We loved Nino, a friend of 38 years. We had the pleasure of working together at Holiday Inn International out of Miami for a few years. Once you met Nino you had a friend for life. We visited often and stayed in touch throughout the years.

I have known Nino since Baci days and my husband and I then went to Abbracci where we had a 50 th wedding anniversary party which was great and the great memory is that at lunch we would see him but he told me that I could not sit at his table as he was having lunch but at dinner time I could sit at his table and in his seat at Table 9.
That was always something I respected and he was very admired.
My husband and I wish him to R.I.P.

It is with great sadness tgat we write this message to the family and many friends of Nino.  We are heartbroken over the passing of our friend, Nino. We were regulars at Caffe Baci with Nino and Domenico and Loris.  Nino was the consummate host who made everyone feel they were the most important person during the time he spent with you at your table. Nino will be remembered as one very special and successful restauranteur as well as a community leader.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the mass for Nino due to living in Colorado, but our thoughts and prayers are with Nino’s Family and with the incredible staff at Caffe Abbracci.
