In 1966, the family relocated to Miami, Florida, where Nestor continued his teaching career, this time as a mathematics teacher at LaSalle High School. His passion for education never wavered, and he continued to inspire and support his students until his retirement in 1996.
Nestor was a man of diverse talents and interests. In 1984, he and Iraida both earned their real estate licenses and, in 1986, established Mederos Realty.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Nestor was an accomplished painter and had his own ceramic line, leaving a creative legacy that will be cherished by many.
He and Iraida took pride in having visited 96 countries, a testament to their love of exploration and adventure.
In 2020, Nestor moved to Goodyear, Arizona, to live with his son Nestor Jr. and his wife Inga. There, he enjoyed the comforts of family and made cherished memories during his later years.
