Miriam Rodriguez

It is with great sadness that our mother Miriam Rodriguez passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Miami on June 14, 2024 at the age of 83. Her children were the central pillar of her life: she was blessed with three devoted sons, John, Carlos and Jorge. Her source of great happiness and pride were her adored 6 grandchildren. Her life was extremely enriched being surrounded by love and sharing a close bond with multiple endearing family members and friends. She was an avid dog lover, and very fond of her dog “Pappy”.

She enjoyed a plethora of friends “El Grupo” with whom she maintained relationships throughout her retirement in Cape Coral, Florida. She left her beloved Cuba to raise three boys in New Jersey with her parents, and subsequently moved to Florida. She will be laid to rest at Weehawken Cemetery with her beloved mother, Pilar. She was a devout Catholic and very involved in the Church Community.

She and her family extend tremendous thanks, with fondest appreciation, to her caregivers who provided love and compassion over the past few months. A traditional Latin Mass will be celebrated in her memory at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1400 Miller Drive, Miami on Wednesday, June 19th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, we suggest that donations be made to her favorite charity:
