My dear Marion, My memories of you, go far back as a young Cuban immigrant of eight years old, in 1961. Your little Cuban—but blonde, green eyed—boy and next door neighbor, at 141 West 36th street, Hialeah, Florida. I met you then and “Echi”, your dear husband and the girls. I treasure sitting on the porch with you and all the kids that would  come out to play in the lazy afternoons of a different time and place, being with genuine and authentic caring people as you and your whole family. I love you Marion and all those chats on the porch, which helped me enormously to embrace the American way of life with the greatest of ease. Rest in peace Marion, all my love.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Echeverria girls my heart goes out to you.  How wonderful you had your mom for so long and were able to celebrate her life together.  Memories will get you through this.  Love you

Aunt Marion,my most vivid memory was of our visit to Fla with my mom, brother and uncle bobby when I was five.You bought a new pink/white formfitting polka dot dress with a bow on the side of the hip, which you promptly removed and stuck dead center on your can in the back of the dress.I knew right then you were my hero.That no nonsense,hot redhead was my idol.
