Michael, I was so sorry to hear about Marina today 2/28/11.  Mark Liebowitz had a depo in Tallahassee and he told me when I asked about the office.  I think of everyone often, and I will keep you in my thoughts.

Dear Mike,  We were so sorry to hear about Marina's passing.  We just found out today (11/3) and are so sorry we missed the funeral and being with you.  I know she will be sorely missed as she was a naturally giving person.  I was only around her on 3 occasions and one was when Jay & I got married - being a bride, I wasn't carrying a purse and she noticed that the photographer was taking pictures at the reception and that my lipstick had faded - so she whipped out her lipstick and told me I should put some on - it sounds small but for us girls, that's huge.  And, she was the first to RSVP to Jay's 40th birthday bash.  She was thrilled to be invited and must have called us on the way back from your mailbox.  Please know our thoughts are with you and your children.  We know this is a great loss for all of you.

Marina was a dear person to me. She was beautiful inside and out, a genuine angel on Earth. Her son Max, a friend of mine, is a brilliant reflection of her deep, spiritual intellect, and her love for learning. I hold the Klein family so close to my heart, for many years I have always felt them as an extension of my own family. I'll never forget all the family outings, the summer they invited me to stay in their beautiful home in Colorado, all the laughs, running into her and Mike at Publix one fine afternoon, everything. I will always remember her with absolute fondness. My love and prayers are with her and the entire family. God bless.

As her assistant for three years during the 1980's, Marina inspired me to become more.  Each morning at the beginning of the day, I would visit, and we would sit and talk about what was happening in our lives.  I studied her in her practice of law, how professionally she handled herself, her wardrobe, everything.  She was my first female attorney role model.  She was always kind and respectful and was truly my friend.  In my practice of law now, and even in my personal life, I often think "What would Marina do?"  I remember vividly the day she came back from lunch to announce with a huge smile on her face, "Michael and I just got married!"  She was then and remained crazy about Michael and he about her.  She also loved Max with all of her heart long before he was born.  There are so many memories and things to share.  Although our lives diverted over the years and we did not see each other often, we remained friends in our hearts.  I will never forget her, her family, or the magical legacy of her life together with Michael.  I always loved her and I always will.  Thank you, Michael, for loving and nurturing my friend.
