Born on September 18,1932 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, Maria Dolores Negron was the daughter of Carmen Vasquez and Vicente Ortiz and siblings Pedro, Maximino, Claudino, Juan, Ramon, Enrique, and Placida. Maria Dolores Negron graduated from Teodoro Morales High School in Puerto Rico and went on to work as a very talented seamstress. She enjoyed making others laugh and was always dressed for every occasion. Throughout her life, she loved her family deeply and generously gave her time and energy to evangelizing for the Lord. As a devout Pentacostal, she would attend church daily to carry on the Lord's work. She had a deep understanding of loving one another as Christ loved the church because she demonstrated it to all she met. Her family was her pride and joy and was a very loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her brothers Enrique and Ramon Ortiz. Her three sons Frank, Jose, and Richard and her daughter in law Mariela. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren Alex, Christian, Cherisse, and Kristine.
Her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. We rejoice in the knowledge that she is now in the loving embrace of God.
