Marcia Ann Blank

Marcia Blank (Nee Neijna) was born in New York to Nathan and Gussie Neijna, and raised in Philadelphia with her sister Barbara Neijna and brother, Michael Neijna.

Marcy moved to Miami with her family in 1956. She met and married her husband, Sheldon Blank, in 1957. Together they had three children, Lizbeth Sobel, Pamela Tobin (Jerry) and Eric Blank.

Marcy loved the arts, entertaining, cooking and making everyone happy. A stay at home mom, Marcy, along with her dear friend Myrna Ruskin, started a stationary/invitation business out of the house called Potpourri. After many successful years with Potpourri, Marcy became the stationary and book buyer for Burdines, and was on the product development committee for Federated Department Stores (20+ years). She had the opportunity to travel around the world with this committee finding and/or creating objects to boost sales for all of Federated. Marcy developed close lifelong relationships with the people she worked with and remained close with them until passing.

Marcy, is survived by her three children Lizbeth Sobel, Pamela Tobin (Jerry) and Eric Blank, grandchildren Jessica (Chris) Llorca, Zachary Woodruff, Danielle Sobel and Elora Blank, great-grandson Oliver Llorca, sister Barbara Neijna, brother Michael Neijna, and nieces and nephews Alexandra Tournek, Adam Neijna, Marcos Neijna, Alisa Neijna, Joelle Koblunski and Matthew Blank.

A graveside service for Marcia will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mt Nebo Miami, 5505 NW 3rd St, Miami, FL 33126.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
