I am very saddened to learn of Dr. Torres passing. He performed many procedures on me in the past and today I googled his name to have him do one next month only to see this.  He was an amazing doctor and I am very grateful to have been one of his patients. May he rest in eternal peace.

Today Dr. Salichs, my thoughts were of you, the beautiful soul who saved my life, you were a ray of light and comfort during my darkest hours. May you be rejoicing in Heaven, at peace and in Eternal light. May you know that my family and I  loved and admired you with all of our hearts.  May the Lord have you by His side.

Today, on May 22, 2024, Dr. Torres Salichs has been extremely present in my thoughts.  I went to Dr. Torres Salichs after discovering a Phyllodes tumor on my breast.  It was a scary time in my life, but he re-assured me everything would be okay, and it was no big deal to remove the tumor.  He did just that, and it was malignant despite the fact another very well known doctor had told me not to worry about it.  I only required surgery because it never spread, but I thank God for leading me to Dr. Torres Salichs who saved my life.  May his should rest in peace in the presence of our loving Lord.  We will see each other again in paradise, and I will be able to thank you in person again. God Bless your soul and your family.

I have just heard the sad news of Dr. Torres-Salich's passing.  He treated me almost 10 years ago at a very frightening time in my life.  I will never forget his kindness and utmost professionalism.  May he Rest in Peace.    Sending sincere condolences to his family.  

I went to Dr. Torres with my cousin and he was an amazing doctor and human being, his bedside manner was impeccable, knowledgeable and forthcoming. May he rest in peace and his perpetual light shine infinitely.

I REMEMBER A DAY, I WENT TO HIS OFFICE VERY CONCERNED ABOUT A MASS IN MY BREAST ,AND AFTER  MAKE THE  INITIAL EXAMINATION ,ONLY WITH HIS (HIS MAGICS HANDS ,MUST SAY )  HANDS.HE SAID( VERY CALM)IT DONT SEEMS TO BE  BAD.  I CAN REMOVE IT NOW,ARE YOU PREPARED ? THEN I  ASK ABOUT MY INSURANCE ,AND HE SAID  " I WILL NOT CALL THE INSURANCE" . THAT DAY I LEFT HIS OFFICE WITH A GREAT RELIEVE  BUT ALSO, WITH A DEEP GRATITUDE. HE IS IN THE HEAVEN BUT ALSO, HE WILL BE ALWAYS IN MY HEART.

Dr. Torres Salichs helped me about 3 years ago.  I was searching to schedule an appointment and I am shocked and saddened to learn of his passing.  I remember him as a caring individual and physician who helped me; and I am sure impacted many lives.  Sending condolences to his family.  May he rest in eternal peace.

Dr Torres-Salichs was my breast cancer surgeon in 2015. He was kind and inspired trust in me in what was a very difficult time for me.  I am so thankful for his life and pray for the continued comfort of his family.

Dr Salichs was a good man. He cared deeply for his patients. He saw me as a young man In my 20’s for a thyroid biopsy. I was terrified but he was calm and reassuring. My brief but overwhelmingly positive interaction with the Dr led me to search for him online for a family member to find out that he has passed. Prayers and wishes to his family and friends. 

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Torres-Salich my oncologist surgeon. He spoke with  compassion and empathy about my condition and was very kind. He will be missed. 😢 my deepest sympathy to his family.

I found out just today of this wonderful mans passing. I will never forget how he treated me and all his patients a kind, compassionate human being. He put everything in perspective offering hope and light!! As a fellow physician I am in awe at his kindness, empathy and passion. 
God speed until we meet again. 

I just found out about Dr Torres Salichs. I am heartbroken to hear that such a kind soul, a caring and compassionate Dr has passed away. He was my surgeon who not only calmed me during a horrible scary time in my life but he was able to make me laugh through my tears.  Too young, too soon. God Speed.

One year ago today we lost an amazing and and caring doctor.  There isn’t a day that  goes by that I don’t  think about Dr. Torres Salichs  and the kindness he showed me through such a bad time in my life.  Dr. Torres Salich is no longer in pain and is now with our Heavenly Father.   His family is still in my thoughts and prayers. 


My deepest condolence to the family of Dr. Torres-Salichs. He was caring, kind, and professional.   
In May 2018, I was diagnosed with Cancer! 
Began to pray and asked God to be merciful and to place in my path the perfect doctor who take care of me in this most difficult trial.  
God answered my prayer! When I met Dr. Torres-Salichs he said “ I will take care of you and you will be fine.” At that moment, I felt peace in my heart and understood that God sent him for me.  
Dr. Torres-Salichs touched and saved many lives! He will be greatly missed.

Acabo de enterarme de su partida.  No lo puedo creer. Lo vi el ano pasado y tan amable y carinoso como siempre.  Lo conoci hace muchos anos cuando me atendio como un favor porque entonces no tenia seguro medico y me salia sangre de un pezon.  Resulto q no era nada serio, pero su compasion, su interes, su profesionalismo me ganaron para siempre y nunca mas deje que nadie mas q el me atendiera y lo segui desde el baptist a su oficina nueva. Dr. Torres Salichs was one of the kindest and  most extraordinary doctors I had ever met. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and saw several doctors but after seeing Dr.  Torres Salichs I knew he would be the one to save me. I’ve been cancer free ever since and not only did he save my life but he saved 2 other women’s lives that I recommended. What an incredible human being. I know he is in a beautiful and peaceful place watching over all of us.  We love you Dr. Torres Salichs. 

I can’t believe we have lost such a great professional,  who was all dedicated to his patients and whoever was in need of his help. I will always have the best memories from you when I arrived here as a foreign oncologist and I met you thru a mutual fiend and you were the light at the end of the túnel. You were more than pa physician a friend and a role model. I’m sure you are in heaven because it is the only place for angels like you my Doctor! 

I am hearth broken. I have been admitted today at Baptist Hospital for a minor surgery and asked for you in case you were in service. And I heard. I couldn’t believe it. You saved my life once with my  breast cancer on 2012 with your care and gentle approach. You made a very difficult moment easier to accept and extremely easy to understand my best way to go and what kind of surgery to get. You made my life free of pain with my gallbladder surgery with your magic touch that left no signs or post operation consequences.
You were my angel then and I hope you are my angel now . From wherever you are please watch over me!



I just found out today about Dr. Salich’s passing. I’m still in shock! You were such an amazing doctor and human being! You helped so many and made such a difference in all your patients’ lives, including me and my family. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 years ago, I was only 31 with a 10 month old baby. You were so caring and cool, so human! You are And will be so missed! Thank you for all you did!

Dr. Salichs performed my surgery 2 1/2 years ago; he is an amazing doctor with great bedside manner. I had a big family presence at the hospital and my daughters drilled him prior to the surgery and the day of the surgery. He had a lot of patience, loved helping his patients and overall a great person. He will be missed! RIP.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer on January 2016, Dr Manuel Torres Salich was not only my Dr and surgeon he was a friend to me and my  family . Always smiling , always caring and compassionate. This amazing man was my surgeon 13 years ago.  I was so lucky that he was my surgeon.  We use to laugh about how close our ages were.  He was a year older than me!

I am deeply sorry to hear about Dr. Manuel Torres-Salichs decease when receive an email from his office today.
Still can't believe, just a little over 3 months when I last saw him and planning to do a check up again this September.

I am so saddened to hear the news of my dear doctor. He was so kind and reassuring. RIP sweet man!

I am shocked and heartbroken to heard today that the doctor I was considering to do my surgery soon passed way.  I met Dr Salichs recently in february 2019 for a 2nd opinion when I was very impacted with the results of my breast biopsy and I told him that I was thinking to repeat the biopsy because I was not believing that I was diagnosed with BC but he hold the CD’s against the light and firmly said you don’t need, the images showed it’s cancer. That time I felt no need more opinions and I feel confident  to start my treatment immediately. 
He recommended a MRI at his office but I didn’t. He did an ultrasound, examined me carefully and told that he didn’t feel nothing suspected beyond the lump. He offered his service of surgeon very respectfully and told me about the Penguin Caps because I was very afraid to lose my hair and I left his office very comfortable with the cold cap option. 
Dr Salichs, you  didn’t wait for my surgery  here on earth but you certainly can guide from heaven. You’ll be in my prayers to reach an easier transition to your new home. R.I.P 
After shared my story I can feel my heart in peace to the opportunity of honor a man  who  saved many people’s life during your short passage on earth . May the shine keep enlightening your soul forever!

Dr.Torres Salichs saved my life. I was shocked to hear of his passing.I will never forget such a kind, caring doctor at a most difficult time when having to be strong was not an option. Dr. Torres Salichs helped me along the way. May you rest in peace.

I just heard this terrible news! I am shocked and saddened that such a wonderful, caring person was taken so soon. My heart goes out to his family and co workers. He was a true professional, caring, kind, empathetic. A wonderful surgeon. 

I am so saddened by the loss of Dr. Torres-Salichs, like many others here, I feel he saved my life with my single mastectomy in September of 2017. I live in the Florida Keys, was evacuated by Irma, had my surgery rescheduled 3 times, and through all of that, he kept reassuring me that everything would be fine. Then, when I went to see him for follow ups, I found out his family was impacted by Hurricane Maria. We shared "hurricane stories" and when I visited his office in early June, I knew he was out on leave, but I never thought I wouldn't see him again. My condolences go out to the family and also to the entire office staff, both Dr. Torres-Salichs and Dr. Rotemberg. I just recently told a friend who was also diagnosed with breast cancer that these two are the best physicians I have ever dealt with. Rest in peace.

I am heartbroken and shocked to hear of the passing of Dr. Torres-Salichs.  He saved my life last year from breast cancer.  He was so thoughtful and caring at such a scary time.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his wonderful team.  

This is the saddest news for me. Dr.Torres,caring devoted,   positive. December 8 2018, I went to his office with my heart broking scare,afraid, crying , he looked at me  with the big smile and said
we going to get thru together   don't worry everything is going to be ok

I went to my Doctor today and was informed that Dr. Torres-Salichs had passed away. I am so saddened by this news and want to express my deepest sympathies to his family.  On June 24 I found out about Dr. Torres Salishs  passing away .   There has not been a day since I found out about his death that I have not thought about him and my heart still hurts and I find myself crying when I think of him.    He was so kind had a heart of gold and I knew from the moment I met him he would be my surgeon and he would save my life.  
Dr. Torres Salichs  parents raised a wonderful person and a caring man and they  must be so very proud of him and his accomplishments in life .     My thoughts and prayers are with the family .

I was so sad to hear this news and want to send my deepest condolences and warmest hugs to his family, friends, and the team and medical community who will miss him dearly.  I feel so blessed to have had him come into my life in December and be the one who helped me through this journey.  His care, personal attention, and unbelievable way of making me feel safe were a gift.  I will always remember him  - he was there for me and so many others when we needed him most. I heard today of the passing of Dr. Torres and I am beyond saddened of this news.  He saved my life and loses his.  He was the best surgeon and I never hesitated or doubted him when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and he operated on me.  Very caring, kind and honest.  No questions were needed to be asked because  he took the time to always answer them.  I will pray for him and his family.  He will be greatly missed 😥

Goodness just heard the news today July 3 of his death. Shocked and sad. He  was a kind and caring doctor/surgeon. He was thorough and explained everything to me about my breast cancer. At my once a  year check ups always answered any of my questions. One year with a check up there was a cyst on my scar he did not hesitate to fit me in same day  in order to extract it and check it out for return of breast cancer. 

I am at a complete loss for words. Dr. T was so special. He was the person who gave me my diagnosis after my first surgery for what we thought was not cancer. I was alone and he sat with me for a while and made me believe it was going to be ok, and he never let me think otherwise at any point in my treatment process. He was the one that told me 3 new things needed to come out of my diet, which changed my life for the better ...  because I was on two health journeys at once ... one for a brain tumor and one for breast cancer.  He told me years later that he never expected me to take the advice on food ... the advice that changed my life.  Later, our roles reversed and he became one of my clients and one of my greatest supporters as I grow my plant-based eating business. My heart is broken that I did not know until yesterday of his passing … I had texted him just 2 days before and was concerned because he did not respond -- he always responded to me almost immediately. The comments already shared by so many capture so many of my sentiments about Dr. T … he was a gentle giant, one of the kindest and most calming people that I have known, humble and a beautiful soul. His passing is a tremendous loss for the medical community, but even more of a loss for the thousands of lives he touched during his brief stay on Earth. May he rest in eternal peace, in a place that knows no pain and no sorrow. May his sacrifices during his all too brief stay here on Earth be rewarded in his heavenly home. Dr. Torres-Salichs. But for all in our University of Puerto Rico medicine class of 1988 he will always be Tuto. I was certainly lucky to know him well as a student, as an athlete and as a friend. I will never forget our long hours at the anatomy lab in our first year. It paid up as both became dedicated surgeons. His many grateful patients are his testimony.He will be missed.. I am so sad to hear this news. Dr. Torres saved my life and I will be forever grateful. I came to Dr Torres scared and desperate to find someone to help me. I could not find a doctor that would listen to me and let me be part of my cancer treatment. As soon as I saw him, I thought this guy is different. He listened to me when no one else was; and he was willing to work with me and do what I wanted with my cancer. I knew immediately, this is the one. This is my doctor. I realize know that I must have been one of his last patients.  I am so sorry that he is no longer around to help other women, but I hope he knows that he made a world of difference to me.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He was an amazing person and will be missed.

I am beyond sad to hear this news. Dr. Torres-Salichs fought to get my oncology appointment sooner so I could start chemo sooner and he made it happen. Without his persistence, who knows what my prognosis would have been. I am cancer free today, thanks to him. My condolences to his family and friends. He was a special man/doctor. His patients came first and I felt that from the first time I met him. 

Dr. Torres Salichs saved my sister, Jude, life and even though he was not well himself, he continued to perform his given gift with all he had. That is a true angel and soldier of God. Rest in peace Doc🙏

I will never forget the day in 2017 when  Dr. Torres Salich walked into the room and explained to me why he felt he needed to perform a double mastectomy. I was scared and nervous but he gave me the reassurance that I was going to get thru this and everything would be just fine.  He gave me the peace of mind that I needed and I was so grateful that Dr. Spencer Kellogg had referred me to him.  The day of my surgery he came in to check on me and told me not to worry that he was going to go in and get rid of all my cancer cells. He was the angel that God had sent to save me. I have been cancer free for 2 years now.
We have lost an Angel of God. Rest in peace Dr. Torres Salich.


You saved my wife’s life and you did it on such a positive and inspired way that we never felt at risk or scared. I just learned about you leaving us. However, such an amazing soul will always come back. Rest In Peace! See you on the next... 

 I just heard the very sad news yesterday.
My sister-in-law and I were diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2018. Dr Torres-Salich was recommended to my sis-in law by her primary care physician.  My primary care recommended a different surgeon. I went to Dr. Torres-Salich for a second opinion. 
I liked him the minute he entered the exam room. I told him " I'm having a rock star for a surgeon!" He just smiled and said the everybody call him a rock star.  I liked the way he explained things to me. I switched to him to do my surgery. 
He did a wonderful job for me and my sis-in-law. 
I don't have negative words about him. The world lost a wonderful, very caring and down-to-earth individual. 
I'm surely going to miss him.
Rest in Peace, Rock Star. May the good Lord shine His eternal light upon you. May He also give comfort to your loved ones and those who loved you.  


I knew Dr Salichs for many years; he was a great doctor and great person. The world have lost a great surgeon. I have no words to express my sadness, he was always there to help, he was a truly friend of all patients. I still can’t believe he is gone.

Today I celebrate 1 year of being cancer free thanks to my angel Dr. Torres Salichs. Yet my heart and soul ache at the thought of my angel being gone. You will never be forgotten and I don’t think I thanked you enough for saving our lives.  All your patients had the same topic of conversation in your office. Always saying how we thanked God for our angel. You will forevermore be in our hearts. Rest In Peace 

No hay palabras que puedan expresar el dolor que me causa la perdida fisica del Dr Torres Salich, quien fue no solo uno de los mejores cirujanos y Drs que conoci, sino tambien un gran ser humano, capaz de trasmitir una paz y seguridad que solo alguien especial puede. Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end!

Dr. Torres Salichs was my surgeon in 2013.  He listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and considered my challenges towards conventional treatment.  He gave me alternatives and made exceptions.   And always treated me with respect.  

Although I have been cancer free for 6 years, and moved away in 2015, I always felt safe knowing Dr. Torres Salichs was there. 

He was a true professional, a highly skilled surgeon and a gentleman.  The medical field has lost a great doctor.  And the world has lost a compassionate man.   May you rest in peace Dr. Torres Salichs.   God bless you.   


Mi corazón está súper triste 😔 mi doctor mi ángel 😇 lo conocí por recomendación de mi doctor general para ver cómo me ayudaba en un Cáncer y desde que lo vi supe que el me lo mando Dios hoy estoy libre de cancer y apenas ayer me enteré de su partida al lado de Dios todavía no lo puedo creer mi mas sentido pésame a la familia y se que fue un ángel enviado por Dios y cumplió su misión te amo mi hermoso doctor siempre te llevaré en mi corazón esto no es un adiós es un hasta pronto descasa en La Paz del señor 🙏🏽
