A caring husband, proud father, and devoted grandfather (affectionally known as Papi) Luis Adolfo Diaz, age 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at his home in Miami Florida. He was born November 18, 1949, in San Isidro Nicaragua, to Imelda Salgado Diaz (Mother) and preceded in death by Ahenor Diaz Reyes (Father).
Luis was a 1965 graduate of the Escuela de Entrenamiento Basico de Infanteria (EEBI) graduating as a commissioned officer with the rank of second lieutenant. He served from 1965 to 1979 distinguishing himself in both peace time and war. He joined in holy matrimony Mercedes Perez on August 5, 1972. Due to conflicts in Nicaragua, Luis migrated with his family to Miami Florida in 1979.
For 43 years Luis supported his family working as auto parts salesman at Autonation. Luis never missed an opportunity to love and laugh. He led a selfless life dedicated to others- always prioritizing the needs of someone else over his own. During his spare time, he enjoyed reading, watching movies, enjoying his Johnnie Walker, and watching a football game with his kids.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 56 years, Mercedes Diaz, his 3 children Albert (Michelle) Phoenix, AZ, Luis Miami, FL, Ericka, Miami, Fl and his 6 grandchildren. Breia, Gabrielle and D’Artagnan (Albert). Luis and Lorenzo (Luis). Alyssa (Ericka).

A visitation for Luis will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33186. A funeral mass will occur Monday, October 31, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Raymond, 3475 SW 17th St., Miami, Florida 33145 followed by a burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th Street, Doral, Florida 33172.
