Thank you Lou for allowing me to work under you tutorage as a young law student more that 25 years ago.  I learned a lot from you about law and life and am eternally grateful for the times we spent together.  You will be sorely missed by everyone who knew you. My prayers go out to Janet and Kimberly.  God bless.

I did not have the honor of knowing Mr. Vernell. However I do know his daughter Kim. The values and joy for life within her must have been influenced by his hand. I know he raised a wonderful daughter so that must have been within him as well. While our world has lost what I believe to have been a great man, father, and husband. Heaven has gained from that loss.

I have known Lou for more than 30 years. So many great memories that it’s just too hard to pick just one or two. He was a great attorney, father to Kim, husband to Janet, and friend to me.  He never acted his age and was always eager for new adventures. I will miss him very much.
