Laureano Jose Fernandez, age 95, of Miami, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Laureano was born May 1, 1926 in San Cristobal, Cuba. He is survived by his two children, Jose Jorge (Mayra) Fernandez and Laureano (Gisela) Fernandez, Jr.; and grandchildren, Jorge A. Fernandez and Alejandro J. Fernandez.
Laureano was a banker both in Cuba and in Miami. He was a Rotarian and an active member of many service organizations in Miami. His passion was reading about history, public speaking and helping others.
A funeral mass will be officiated to celebrate the life of Laureano Jose Fernandez at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2021 at St Agatha Catholic Church, 1111 SW 107 Ave, Miami, Florida 33174. Following the funeral mass, the committal service will be held at Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 NW 25 St, Doral, Florida 33172.
