Julie Clark Almeida passed away in the style that anyone who really knew her would expect... with strength, courage and surrounded by her family singing songs and playing music that Julie loved.
Julie attended Miami Killian High School and graduated from the University of Florida. She had a 32 year career with the Dade County Property Appraisers office where she had many wonderful and treasured friends.
Julie is survived by her loving husband Fred, their sons, Kevin Almeida and Michael Almeida; her father Dr. Ronald Clark, second mom Gloria Villa, sister Tami Mulholland (Jim), brother Mark Clark, stepbrothers; Paul McKinley & Stephen McKinley; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving mother, Janet Hayes Clark.
For the past eight years Julie not only survived, but thrived while bravely facing the worst conditions with an unparalleled ferocity.
Through countless treatments and numerous brain surgeries, she never once complained. Instead, she paid close attention to those around her, especially individuals going through tough times. She offered her support and kindness in ways that mattered deeply. Whether it was a heartfelt chat at a cafe or helping someone find their way back, she made it clear that what was happening in their lives was of utmost importance to her, beyond her own challenges. We could all take a page out of her book...find GOD, find the JOY and LOVE LIFE! Julie will be greatly missed!
A very special thank you to Marie Calixte for her loving care and to the most incredible oncologist, Dr. Venkatappa, Neurosurgery ARNP, Andrea Castaldi, Neurosurgeon, Dr. Vitaly Siomin, Physical Therapist, Justine Knecht, and Nurse Practitioner, Cathleen Charles, of Baptist Hospital/MCI.
