Jorge Manuel Sanchez Alfonso, age 77, of Miami, FL and Havana, Cuba, died peacefully on March 31, 2017. Loving Son of Dr. Enrique Sanchez-Pessino and Maria Elena Sanchez-Alfonso. Loving husband of Talia Sanchez-Rodriguez for 55 years. Loving father of Vivian Sanchez Montesion (Thomas), George Sanchez (Lilliam), and Elizabeth Martignetti (Paul). Loving grandfather of Kathleen and Alyssa Sanchez and Nicholas Montesion. Brother of Enrique, Elsa, and Magda Sanchez. Predeceased by his sister, Elena Rodriguez. Jorge treasured his friends, and was an avid fisherman and boater, and a lover of good food and animals. He spent his life working hard to support his family, starting his own seafood processing plant in Venezuela, employing over 100 people. His children will always remember the example he set for them. Jorge died peacefully, surrounded by his immediate family, brother, cousins, nieces, nephews, and childhood friends. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Caballero Rivero Westchester located at 8200 SW 40 Street, Miami, FL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Caballero Rivero Westchester and Interment to follow at Miami Memorial Park located at 6200 SW 77 Avenue, Miami, FL.
