Jorge’s impact on my life was and continues to be undeniably great. We met Senior year in high school and somehow, in our love for music and the arts, and Jorge’s ability to make me laugh always, we developed a close friendship.  
Jorge was there for me in times when nobody else was. 
Although, we didn’t speak for many years I still have every letter, every poem, every email plus memories of all the music Jorge introduced me to and all of the first experiences shared with Jorge. 
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to know Jorge and to know his heart. When we reconnected, even though it was awkward at first, we each had a chance to communicate on reasons why we had our fallout and as we expressed our viewpoints and shared what we'd been up to all those years, and it felt like our bond was still intact. We both noticed that.
So glad we continued our friendship thereafter. 
I was so saddened to hear of his passing in 2013. At the time, I was fighting for my life and this news hit me hard. 
Though, I feel he will always be with me, I will keep missing him and our great talks.

Big Jorge, my brother from a other mother. I met this guy in our high school choir and had the pleasure of singing barbershop music with him. There was never a time this guy couldn't put a smile on my face. Even though we went our separate ways after graduating, he never made it feel like we skipped even a day when we talked. Miss ya buddy.

I just found out about the passing of my friend. We hadn't spoken in a while but it must have been right before he left us. Jorge and I met through networking for work and became friends. We would have a drink or two every once in a while even after he moved on to a new position and our business networking wasn't as prevalent. He was a deep individual beyond his years, smart, well traveled and interesting to talk to. We hit it off right away. You just don't meet people like Jorge every day. He helped me out in business and we made money together. I appreciate all he did for me, and the conversations and times we had. I am extremely saddened today and my heart goes out to his family and friends. He was taken way to soon, but I know from his stories of his adventures that he enjoyed his time here. I wish we could have another whiskey together Jorge, I will miss you my friend. May you rest in peace, until we meet again.

I miss you amigo.  You were fearless,  and at the same time caring and intellectually curious.  Always eager to learn and laugh.  Hasta la vista little brother.  You are missed terribly.

I didn't know Jorge in the "real" world.  We met via Facebook through a mutual friend, and our online relationship was filled laughter, insight, and shared experiences as Cuban Americans. We emailed occasionally, and his emails were ALWAYS so thoughtful, humor filled, and intelligent.  I can only imagine that I would have been LUCKY to have met him in person.  He was such a genuine, warm spirit.  To his family --  I wish words could express how sorry I am for your loss.  I can only imagine how sad you must feel.  God bless you...

Rest in peace, my brother.  So mote it be.

I knew the very dear Jorge only from fb, emails and phone calls. He was a gift to all who knew him. A man of intelligence, humore and gereosity that knew no bounds. I have held him and his mother and family in my heart since I recieved the news that he had, indeed gone from our midst. I will never forget him or his great smile and the joy he brought to all. May the smiles if the angels great his own. Until I get there.........Peace!

May the love of family and friends help comfort you now and in the future.
