Joel Mutzman, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, at the age of 81. He was one of kind, with a strong spirit, faith, and love of family. He was a beloved husband to Marlene Mutzman (pre deceased) father, zeidi, brother,uncle, son and friend. He is survived by his children Ronna (Marc), Marc, and Sharon(Jay), grandchildren Ethan, Madison, Gillian, Lindsay, Matthew and Max, and his brother Richard. He will be missed by all that knew him and his zest for life.
Born August 31, 1941, he graduated from Miami High School in 1959 and went on to earn a degree in physics from University of Miami in 1963. He worked for years in the aerospace industry helping to design the jet propulsion systems for the space shuttle. He followed that with a long career at Florida Power and Light. Late in his career he worked as a high school teacher and a computer programmer with Miami Dade county.
A funeral service for Joel will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Lakeside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33172.
