Jesus was born on January 2nd, 1931 in the province of Matanzas Cuba in the town of Carlos Rojas to Maximino Perez and Anatalia Gonzalez-Feijoo. Jesus was the youngest of three sons.
In addition to running a family farm with his brothers, he also worked for the province of Matanzas in road construction as a road grader and surveyor. He was a licensed Diesel Mechanic as well.
Jesus emigrated to the United States in 1961 fleeing political repression and loss of freedom that came along with the Cuban Revolution. He quickly grew to love his new adopted homeland and considered
himself a proud and true American. In America he worked as a diesel mechanic. In 1963 he established a farming business in Southern Dade County together with his brothers.
On January 8, 1962 he married Irma Garcia and remained happily married until his passing. Together they raised three sons Jessie, Tony and Jose.
Jesus had two passions in life, his family and he had a lifelong zeal for being industrious and productive. He was an avid lover of his work and the different varieties of produce he cultivated and harvested.
Jesus lived a long and well lived life surrounded by his family and friends enjoying feasts and playing dominoes when he wasn't working.
Jesus was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother Antonio. He is survived by his wife Irma and his three sons and his brother Jose Maria.
