I wish I could have been there to pay my respects. I have many fond memories of Howard and your family.  I spent many days at your home growing up.  The trips to A&A Glass, fishing adventures, Matheson Hammock, Key Biscayne, Belle's apartment on South Beach, Royal Castle, and much more - they meant a lot to me.  While time and distance has separated us, I send you my deepest and sincerest condolences.  Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My Dad would have loved to have joined us, it was such a beautiful tribute to him, Rabbi Jaime Aklipi spoke with us, the stories about our Dad and Grandpa, and the funeral, with military honors, followed by a time of Shiva that he would have also loved to have been at, was spent talking, eating, and even enjoying a little drink, and then more with a Minyan, with more friends...  so thank you to all who celebrated the Life of Howard Kaplan, with his wife Iris, the four kids, and their families, ten grandkids and eight great grandkids, he was Grandpa Howard to the lucky 18, and gave us a short Shiva, because Sukkot begins at sundown.  He also would have approved, love, and Shalom, Martha
