I extend my sincere condolences to the family of my dear, dear, dear heartwarming friend - Haile Tekle.  Just this morning (5/31/24), I learned from Rahawa, that my friend Haile passed away 2 1/2 years ago. And he was funeralized in Miami, FL, where I live, which shows how very important it is to Always stay close & make Frequent contact with the people who you care for & Love. Rest In Peace, my brother Haile. I just truly wish I could have known to pay you last respects in person, my Brother Haile Tekle! Gene Pugh, FIU

Dear Colleague Mrs. Mebrat Kaleab,

On behalf of the National Council of Eritrean Americans (NCEA) in South Florida, we hereby express our deepest sympathy for the loss of Mr. Haile Tekle.

We can’t believe that Mr. Haile is no longer with us in Miami.  Most of us knew him since the early 70s and remember him as an intelligent colleague, eloquent speaker, political savvy and a strong Eritrean nationalist.

We hope that your wonderful memories of Mr. Haile prior to the annulment will provide some sort of comfort and peace during this difficult time.
