Ellie passed away Saturday, May 26, peacefully at home with all of her loved ones at her side.Born in Cleveland, OH the dtr of Russian immigrants Joseph & Rose Bailis, She began at age 8 working alongside her late brother Wilbur on their father’s produce truck. With her “country girl” charm, she was her father’s star sales girl.Graduating from high school at 16, she and her mother moved to L A, where she worked in Hollywood movie studio offices. She moved to Miami Bch in 1943, where she became a dental assistant and hygienist, working for the U.S. armed forces. In 1947, married the love of her life, Allan (Al) Ziegler had 3 children: Jan, Gary and Joanie.A founding member of Flagler Granada Jewish Community Center, she was an active participant in many theatrical shows and events. She exemplified the very definition of a “hands-on” Mom and devoted wife; her capabilities went beyond that; always wisely guiding her children with a tender smile, a home-cooked meal and a helping-hand with any and all problems. Life with Al was a true partnership and it has provided a glowing example for the entire family to emulate. She helped open and manage both of her son's and son-in-law’s dental and medical practices. They recently celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary.
Leaving a legacy of love, she is survived by devoted husband Al Ziegler,
