Elaine (Brenner) Friesner, born March 12, 1946, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Boca Raton on March 2, 2023. She will be greatly missed by her loving daughters Jackie (Darin) Schatzman, Courtney (Larry) Hopkins and grandchildren Ava and Zachary Schatzman, who were her pride and joy. She is predeceased by her parents, Freda Stein Brenner and Herman Brenner, and husband, Arthur Friesner.
Born and raised in Miami, Elaine graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School, the University of Miami and Barry University, where she obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work. She was a licensed clinical social worker, maintained a private practice and was dedicated to helping others.
Elain was very social and always up for a fun time with family and her many friends. She loved to travel, play bridge, read, binge all the “shows” and watch movies. She also leaves behind her beloved doggie, Teddy, who she spoiled and adored.
She was a lifetime member of Temple Beth Am until she moved to Boca, and over the past 10 years, she enjoyed spending time with her friends cousins, daughters and son-in-laws at her second home in Asheville, North Carolina. It was her “happy place”!
A true people person, Elaine had a special magnetic energy, and always made everyone feel important. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service for Elaine will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
