I was so sad to find that Edwina had passed away. Today is her birthday and I was trying to wish her a happy one when I stumbled on this site. Edwina was a wonderful mentor and dear friend at Illinois Central College. Her happy, positive nature, passion for teaching and learning, and sincere caring for her students were an inspiration. — Pam Dewey

Edwina was a beautiful person at all times. She was a great professor at Illinois Central College. where she taught students  for many years in the English department.  She was very kind, humble and  professional.  In Peoria, she will be missed by so many friends who loved her dearly especially the friends and colleagues at Illinois Central College.  We all loved her as a very sweet person. She poured into the minds of her students who will be forever grateful and prepared in their careers.  A lovable sweet lady at all times!
