July 5, 1984 – August 7, 2017
Dustin was born in York, Pa and moved to Miami with his family in 1989. He loved South Florida and returned to Miami after graduating from the University of Florida, to attend Carlos Albizu University where he earned his doctorate in Psychology. Since he was a child, he always garnered gratification from being able to help others, and chose to pursue a career that allowed him to do so professionally in addition to in his personal endeavors. He has most recently been practicing as a therapist at the Trinity Mental Health Center.
Dustin was born with a flair for the dramatic, and took up improvisational comedy while at UF. It became his passion and he continued to perform his art at Just the Funny in Coral Gables; his talented troupe – Society Circus Players - was recently invited to New York, where the tight-knit group of friends performed in an improv festival, an experience that Dustin cherished.
Nothing was more important to Dustin than family, and even after leaving home he visited with his parents and grandparents every chance he got; he never missed the opportunity to attend family gatherings. He is survived by his sister, Danielle; his parents, Laura and Brad Aiken; his aunts and uncles: Gary and Nancy Aiken, Kathy and Tom Raffa, and Shari and Ray Rosenberg; and grandparents: Doris Feibelman, and Arnita Aiken and Saul Shechter.
