Dr. Robert H. Morgan, Assistant Professor Emeritus, University of Miami, entered into eternal life on March 5, 2025. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Bob’s life was distinguished by his profound faith and by his kindness and service to the community. He was the founder of The Heroes Program for Survivors of Domestic Violence at the Mailman Center for Child Development, University of Miami, where he taught for 48 years. Throughout his long and illustrious career he received numerous awards among which are counted The Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Miami; Social Worker of the Year, Florida Chapter; The Governor’s Peace at Home Award; The Heart of Social Work Award for Lifetime Achievement; The Justice for All Award for Outstanding Contributions for Victims of Crime as well as awards from Barry University and FIU for his legacy to Field Education. His parents George and Isabel and his siblings George, Dorothy and Paul predecease him. He leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Teresa, his children Robert, Joe (Debra), Liz and Michael, his grandchildren Dan (Vanessa), Nick, Collin and Loralei and numerous nephews and nieces. His gentle spirit blessed all who knew him.
