Donnie Mae Alford

Donnie Mae Alford of Cutler Bay, Florida passed on to glory April 30, 2023 in Miami, Florida. Visitation will be May 12th, 2023 at Caballero Rivero Funeral Home Woodlawn South at 6:00 pm. Celebration of Life Services will be May 13th at 10:00 am at Caballero Rivero Funeral Home Woodlawn South, Michael Alford and John Palmer officiating.

Donnie was born on May 28th, 1942 at Gordon, Alabama to Norris and Nadine (Hobbs) Oder. She graduated from Donalsonville High School. She married William Joe Vonier and had two children, William Todd Vonier and Christopher Joe Vonier. She married Harold Ray Alford on April 15th, 1990. She retired from the United States Post Office in 1999. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Cutler Ridge, Florida.

Donnie is survived by her husband Harold Ray Alford; her children William Todd Vonier, Chris & Lindsey Vonier, Michael & Rebecca Alford, David Alford, Cindy & John Palmer, Dan & Ketly Alford, Ann Alford; Sisters Clemmie Oder and Clara Blanchard; her grandchildren Adhem & Audra Alford, Zachary Alford, Madison Alford, Jacob Alford, Grace Alford, Joshua, Carlos, and Jay; great grandchildren Savannah, Dillon, Caroline, Nolan.

Preceded in death by her parents Norris and Nadine (Hobbs) Oder, brothers Willie Oder and Ben Oder, sisters Gertrude, Gean, Ellen, and Pearl.

Pallbearers will be Todd Vonier, Chris Vonier, David Alford, Dan Alford, Joshua Vasquez, Carlos Vasquez, Travis Alford.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.

A visitation for Donnie will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 11655 SW 117TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33186. A burial will occur Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.
