El jueves, 21 de Junio, Clara Fe Dumenigo Almeida, se despidió de este mundo después de vivir una vida llena de amor y caracterizada del servicio para otros. Su vida extraordinaria empezó el 1ro de abril del 1933 en Ciego de Avila, Cuba. Sus 85 años fueron marcados por su dedicación a su familia, viajes al medio mundo por mar y avión, y por el amor al dulce.
Clara se educó en el Colegio de las Teresiana en Ciego y en el Candler College en la Habana. Se casó con Reynaldo Almeida, y aunque ella siempre decía que era miedosa, encontró la fortaleza para tomar varios viajes al Escambray para llevar medicinas a Rey durante la Revolución. Después de la traición de el monstro Fidel, se reunió con su esposo en el auxilio después de un ano. Uno de las muchas obras de ayuda fue trabajando con refugiados escapando la tiranía del Comunismo.
Clara era la óptima turista y viajo los países de Europa y Sur America varias veces, cada ves trayendo souveniers y cuentos como recuerdos de sus viajes. Sus viajes más memorables fueron sus peregrinajes a Lourdes y su visita a los tea shops de Austria a tomar chocolate caliente y comer delicias.
Las más grandes felicidades de ella han sido su familia. Sus tres hijos, Bonbon, Rey, y Clara Minette, sus nietos, Amy, Alex, y Emily. También tuvo el gran placer de pasar horas en compañía de Delilah, quien pronto se hizo la gran amiga de su Bisa. Clara fue amada por sus hermanos, sobrinos, y muchos amigos.
Clara fue presidenta de la asociación de su condominio y del grupo social de su condo en Miami Lakes. Disfrutaba de caminar con sus amigas, le encantaba la literatura, y era el pegamento que unía a todos que tanto la querían. Hablaba de su antipatía a los perros, pero llego a querer a Nico y Max, quien la cuido en sus últimos días.
Fue devota a Santa Barbara, a Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, y llevo una vida muy spiritual. Estos le han dado una bienvenida a su vida eterna donde nos sigue cuidando y mandándonos gracia, bendiciones, y amor.
