So sorry to hear about Coach Greene’s passing. When he coached baseball at Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire, he led us to the State Championship in 1965. He was a no-nonsense coach who taught us the fundamentals of the game, how to correctly wear our uniforms, to have shoes polished before each game and so many other essential rules about being a baseball player. I have passed down many of his tips and strategies to my children and grandchildren who play baseball and softball. His knowledge of the game and the way it should be played is timeless. His record reflects it. I will never forget him and thank him for making me a better athlete and better person. God bless you Coach Greene.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Greene however, I can see the impact he had on his son Charlie and his grandson Garrett. I am sure he is at peace with the life he lived, the legacy he left behind, and the knowing that the torch he lit will forever burn. 
May you all be at peace and keep him close within your soul.
